The science behind PeakVision’s hybrid, Dual-Zone lens technology is based on the principal that it is impossible for a solid-tint sunglass lens to optimize your vision for both the bright sky AND the turf. When light-meter measurements are taken on the golf course, the lighting extremes range from 82,732 LUX for the sky down to only 3,122 LUX for the grass turf. The lighting for ground-based viewing is less than 4% of the ambient light in the sky.
Like a hybrid golf club that takes the best properties of irons and combines it with the best properties of woods, PeakVision’s HYBRID lens incorporates two different filters into a sunglass lens.
FOR OPTIMIZED DISTANCE VISION: A solid-tint, neutral-gray lens reduces the brightness of the sky down to a visually comfortable 14,460 LUX for improved ball-tracking. But the gray lens also reduces the illumination of the putting surface to a mere 1,195 LUX...far too dark for accurate green reading.
FOR OPTIMIZED GROUND-BASED VISION: A solid-tint amber lens is perfect for enlightened visualization of the putting surface as it delivers more visual information while enhancing contrast sensitivity for improved green-reading. But when looking into the bright sky with an amber lens, the sky remains uncomfortably bright (62,440 LUX) and colors are distorted, which negatively affects distance perception.
PeakVision Sports’ hybrid golf lens integrates a neutral-gray filter in the Upper Zone to manage the glare and brightness in the sky by reducing the brightness down to a visually comfortable illumination of 14,640 LUX. The amber-tuned Lower Zone maintains the natural illumination of the turf at 3,036 LUX and increases contrast sensitivity for enhanced vision of the putting green.
Our lens technology is so unique that we’ve been awarded 3 U.S. Patents, as well as other International patents. The Dual-Zone lens perfectly balances the light into the Ideal Range for both lighting extremes. Whether you are looking up in the sky to track your ball in flight or looking down at the turf to read a green, PeakVision optimizes your vision and provides complete protection for your eyes and vision. From Tee-to-Green you will see better with PEAKS while they provide 100% UV400 protection.
See Better, Play Better.
LENScredible! PeakVision
PeakVision Sports lenses are made of a new liquid-cast lens material that was originally designed for military use in helicopter windscreens. There was a need for a material which was durable enough to withstand the harsh conditions in a combat environment, but also distortion-free, so the pilots could accurately assess terrain and targets. This new lens offers optical clarity like that of the finest optical glass while being incredibly lightweight and impact resistant.
Of course, PeakVision lense provide 100% UV400 protection!
Our patented hybrid, Dual-Zone lenses are created in Italy. Our frames come from quality factories around the world, but primarily in Italy and China.
PeakVision sunglasses range between $89 - $209, depending on the frame style. Compared to other premium sunglasses on the market PEAKS deliver superior vision while being very competitively priced.
In fact, PeakVision eye protection delivers the greatest value because you will choose to wear PEAKS over your eyes all of the time rather than on the back of your hat!
Our website is configured to only process orders within the United States. PeakVision Sports corporate office will be more than happy to assist you with purchasing PEAKS or finding a PEAKS retailer in your area. Please contact PeakVision Sports, 888.856.3419, for more information.
Our hybrid Dual-Zone lens provides 100% UV400 protection but is not polarized. Sports Vision gurus recommend non-polarized lenses for the vision-critical tasking necessary for high-performance golfers, baseball players, cycling and many other outdoor activities. The reason for this is that polarization effectively limits the light rays that get to your eyes to only those coming from a very narrow angle, reducing your peripheral vision and altering depth perception. Peripheral vision is critical to short shots around and on the green when you must see your ball, the line, and your target! Polarization can also negatively impact depth perception.
For many vision-critical activities that involve electronic displays (such as in a cockpit), polarization can render displays for GPS, computer screens, etc., impossible to view.
Additionally, polarization provides no greater protection from ultraviolet radiation than PeakVision's 100% UV400 protection.
Casual golfers have twice the incidence of UV related eye diseases compared to the general population, avid golfers have 4-6 times the incidence and PGA Pros have 24 times the incidence. Harmful radiation can have long-term effects on your vision.
Additionally, eye fatigue and eye strain greatly affect your game, creating headaches, distorted vision and blurriness. A University of Utah Graduate student, Ron Kenneth Lord and Salt Lake City golf pro Henry White, conducted a study of 52 club professionals and found that 54% did not wear protective eyewear while they played and 51% had some form of sunlight-exposure disease. Forty-eight percent had indications of an ocular disease known as pterygia, a tissue mass that is often described as “growing over the eye” and obstructing vision. This is 400 percent more prevalent than in the general US population. PEAKS are like sunblock for your eyes, providing 100% UV 400 protection from A, B and C rays, without interfering with your performance on the course.
Several of our frames have adjustable nose pieces, spring-loaded hinges and/or malleable temple ends.
All of our frames are designed to be durable for their intended purpose. We rarely hear problems of breakage outside of random accidents. However, understanding that breakage can occur, we have a one-year frame warranty and will replace or repair them appropriately. The only cost for frame replacement under warranty is $9.95 for return shipping with insurance and tracking.
Beyond the one-year warranty, we can often repair damaged frames and will do so at no additional charge beyond the return shipping & handling cost of $9.95.
For replacement under warranty or any repair, carefully pack your PEAKS so they won't be further damaged and send them to us with payment of $9.95 (check or money order)

We produced prescription PEAKS for over 6 years with rave reviews from our prescription customers. However, due to profitability challenges in the current economic climate, PeakVision Sports has temporarily suspended our prescription PEAKS Rx program. Currently we are working to improve the business model and reduce our prescription cost structure through a strategic partnership that will allow PEAKS prescription eyewear to be a sustainable business for our entrepreneurial company. Management is finalizing the distribution partnership that will allow prescription PEAKS to be widely marketed before the end of the year.
If you are interested in the availability of prescription PEAKS call us at (913) 317-4000 or e-mail CS@PeakVisionSports.com. We will add you to the growing list of players wishing to be notified when the prescription program is back in full swing, hopefully within the next 90 days.
Until then, THANK YOU for your patience! if you are a performance golfer requiring vision correction, you will find PeakVision is worth waiting for!
Because of the Dual-Zone filters in the lenses, our glasses can be worn in all lighting conditions, from bright sunlight to overcast days.
At this time, each pair of PEAKS comes with a micro fiber cleaning cloth that doubles as a soft storage bag. You can also purchase a protective zippered case, replacement lenses, personalized logo cases, hats, shirts, golf bags and more.
